The media world is in a period of integration, from small companies to giants such as WarnerMedia and Discovery.

The digital publishing space is no exception, with BuzzFeed announcing last month that it will acquire complex networks and make it public through a special purpose acquisition company.

While CEOs, bankers and consultants are usually the best known negotiators in the digital publishing industry, some of these companies also employ corporate development specialists who evaluate potential acquisitions.
