All winners of the ESPY 2021 Awards

The 2021 ESPY Awards, ESPN’s annual celebration for all sports, returned on Saturday with a solo show in New York following the 2020 virtual presentation.

This year’s ESPYS, hosted by Anthony Mackie, also featured the return of individual and team awards as these categories were disbanded in 2020 with so many seasons suspended or canceled altogether due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And in 2021 ESPYS went:

Best athlete, women’s sports: Naomi Osaka, 2021 Australian Open champion

Best athlete, men’s sports: Tom Brady, who led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Super Bowl 55 title

Jimmy V Award for Perseverance: Chris Nikic

Arthur Ashe Courage Award: Maya Moore

Pat Tillman Award for service: Marcus Rashford, English footballer who plays for Manchester United

Best record performance: Russell Westbrook, who broke Oscar Robertson’s NBA record for a triple-double career

Best Champion Athlete: LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets guard and NBA Rookie of the Year

Best game: UCLA vs. Gonzaga in the Men’s Final Four, which was won by the Bulldog at Jalen Suggs

Best game: Arizona QB “Hail Murray,” Cardinals Kyler Murray’s Hyl Mary turned to DeAndre Hopkins to beat the Buffalo Bills last season

Best team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Super Bowl champions 55

Best league performance: Simone Biles, Olympic gymnastics champion

Best league moment: The Los Angeles Dodgers have been winning their first world series since 1988

Best Coach: Tara VanDerveer, Stanford women’s basketball coach who put Pat Summitt on the winning list and led Cardinal to the 2021 national title

Best College Athlete, Men’s Sports: DeVonta Smith, widely received Heisman Trophy from Alabama

Best College Athlete, Women’s Sports: Paige Bueckers, star of the UConn women’s basketball team

Best NBA Player: Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry

Best WNBA Player: Serena Storm Brena Stewart

Best NFL Player: Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB
