“American Horror Stories” gets the first trailer: “Amityville Horror on Crystal Meth” (video)

FX released the first trailer for Ryan Murphy’s new anthropological horror episode “American Horror Stories” on Thursday.

According to the show’s official description, “American Horror Stories” is a weekly anthology series that will include a different horror story in each episode. The trailer highlights some of the first season phobias, such as Santa Claus, a murderous Kaia Gerber and Tipper Gore, as well as the return of the gimp costume from the first installment of the AHS flagship series.

Murphy revealed more of the “Stories” cast earlier this week, including Matt Bomer, Gavin Creel, Sierra McCormick, Ashley Martin Carter, Paris Jackson, Belissa Escobedo, Kaia Gerber, Aaron Tveit, Rhenzy Feliz, Madison Bailey, Kyle Red Silverstein, Amy Grabow (played by Gore), John Carroll Lynch, Naomi Grossman, Dyllon Burnside, Nico Greetham, Charles Melton, Kevin McHale, Danny Trejo (played by Santa), Billie Lourd and Virginia Gardner.

The 21-member cast, including many “AHS” veterans, has joined cast star Kevin MacHale and “Pose” star Dyllon Burnside According to a Murphy tweet announced by the cast on Wednesday, “this is not even half” .

“AHS” spinoff is an executive work by Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, John J. Gray and Manny Coto. The series will debut on FX in Hulu with two episodes on July 15, with the rest of the season being released weekly.
